i love getting stuff in the REAL mailbox!!!

Especially fashion magazines.

I'm starting to plan a photo-shoot. (shocker, right?). But this shoot will be different from my others. This one is head shots, focusing on bright & bold makeup.
Beauty shots.

Speaking of the photo-shoot, I need to call the makeup artist!!!! And who would that be? Pat McGrath!!!
Just kidding...sadly.
It's Allison. Who does an equally amazing job, no doubt but ya know...Pat is something... :)
Well, that's all you guys get to know for now!
The performance is tomorrow. And I must say- everyone looks FAB!!! The colors all flow together, tying in PERFECTLY.
I mean- perfectly.

Ok so Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2010 RTW collection?
BREATH OF FRESH AIR!
It's as if I was in a sea of sequins, mini dresses, leather skirts, platforms, neon and studs and the collection pulled me out, reviving me to life with breathtaking colors, silks, small doses of patent leather, chic belts and those fantastic hats.

okok

I haven't updated for like a trillion years and you guys will prolly have to wait another million until a good, nice and juicy fashion post comes up.
I'm just busy with school, trumpet, orchestra, biology...the list goes on and on.

Last week we were camping so that's why I didn't update at all last week.

I'm thinking of writing a whole bunch of fashion posts in my spare time maybe in a few weeks and then releasing them one by one but yeah.

Thanks for understanding.

*rips hair out* I have nothing to wear!!!
I'm going to this one thing in two hours and have noting to wear that agrees with the weather!! I wanted to do this vintage skirt, layered grey and white rib knit tank tops and a vest but guess what?? the day I want to wear a more summery outfit, it just has to be OVERCAST!!!!

Did I say something about 'fall is fabulous?' psh!! only when you have clothes that are fit for fall! I'm still in my summer wardrobe!!

drama.

9:55~ Rest asured! I have found my outfit for today!!!
Dark wash Charlotte Russe jeans, white tshirt layered with a navy knit vest, gold vintage ring thing and long sliver h&m necklace.

its the time we waste, swallowed into space

I am obsessed with the song 'Blow Away' by A Fine Frenzy.

SEPTEMBER IS HERE! That means fall will be kicking in high gear soon!!!!!!!

I love autumn. The colors, smells, weather, boots, jackets, scarfs and did I mention jackets?

Fall is fabulous!!!!!!

I went on a very short walk down into the woodlandzzz today and shot a bit (with my camera, don't worry). The walk was just short because I would take soooo long to shoot.
This school year is going to be crazzyy. Like, really busy.

But I love (at the moment, I prolly won't love it when it actually starts) the drama of it all. drama? I'm going to do a Shakespeare class (I'm planning on doing stage crew and costumes).
Oh, and biology. :P ugh. But I need to knock out my high school science stuff so yeah.

I really want to start sewing my own designs. Not some boring old skirt pattern but like, my designs. Yeah, I know that I can tweak the patterns and stuff but YEE.

you know that empty-hole feeling you feel when your like, left out of something? well, I don't feel that.

So last night we had a camp meeting (again).

We got our T-shirts. As a few girls swarmed around the cardboard box I panicked (not really LOL) HOPPING that we wouldn't get some hideous neon green or whatever.

Did my eyes deceit me?
Were they sensible in the color choice?
What is going on here?!
Something is not right!! They are not neon!
They are....pink?
Pink?

I blinked, looking over the stack of shirts one of the ladies held. More pink then lavender, so the seniors (us) got pink...strange.

I still didn't believe it as Anna went over and took a chunk for the 5's (the unit were grouped in, we lead 5B) she tossed some to the 5A's and then, I got mine.

"OHMYGOODNESS! I AM SOOO HAPPY ITS PINK AND NOT SOME HORRID NEON!" I exclaimed to Anna, who didn't really care. This was amazing!! AND the pink was a good pink, not hot pink, not baby pink, a good pink!!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!

So there is this girl who I am acquainted with, Claudia*. I've known her for a long time now and shes been in a troop with me for about 2 years. Anyway, she usually is wearing dark, heavy makeup (she is NOT emo/scene) on the eyes and at this meeting she was without any makeup.
"Oh Claudia!! I like you without all that makeup! it looks so much better!!"

"You really think so?" She asked. Her friend Isabella* was standing beside her, Isabella had also been in the same troop as me for 2 years. She kinda creeps me out...ANYWAYS, she chuckled like, 'uuum ok shes weird'. I ignored her.

"Yeah!" I smiled, getting all my stuff together.

She paused, thinking for a moment, "Ok, well, see ya around."

*name changed for like, yeah

black holes ARE real

So we went into Seattle today. I was in a group with 4 anime-lovers and 3 of the 4 are more like, punkish girlzzzzzzz so of coarse, they wanted to go into.............Hot Topic.
I have been proud to say that I have never entered that store. but now that would be a lie.

So Lisa (Thankfully she is not one of the 4) seriously forced me, (not like the violent way, but I was restraining) into Hot Topic. I was frozen as my pink converse stepped onto the black grunge cement. shiver.

For literally 5 minutes I stood in that spot, looking around terrified. So much black..so much Gothic stuff....so much bad t-shirts that lets just say...do not have a happy look about them.
Yeah, it was that bad.

For one of the things for the assignment we had to interview a salesperson (we went to Nordstrom). I was the one who eagerly volunteered.
We had to turn in our papers, but once I get mine back I will post the questions and answers!!!

I didn't take a zillion pictures this time, my camera mostly remained in my bag. But I do have pictures of peoples stuff and yeah.

On the way to the class we were listing to the radio and they had the band Tenth Avenue North with them in the studio!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and guess what????? I was in Seattle the same time they were!! It was so awesome even though I didn't see them.

July 7, 2009

stop speaking in other languages!!! I can't listen in!!

Class was good today, I made a dent in my lines.

Ok so I'd like to inform you of the new Cover Girl Tru Blend liquid foundation.
Recently I bought some with high hopes that it would work, but I should have done my research.

When I applied it it became instantly greasy and oily, and I don't have oily skin! The moment I BRUSHED my fingers against my face it came off. It was horrible.
The thing I do like about it is all the shades it comes in! But that has really nothing to do with coverage.
The coverage was really horrible as well, even if you set it with translucent powder.

So yeah, it doesn't really work all that grannnd on me.

Today in class me and three others gave our report on 1960's fashion. It went OK, like, it could have been way better but yeah.
Like, I wrote the paper (which I will post later in lifez) and then they decided to just take turns reading off and they just used it as like, notes. I wrote it so it sounded more like yeah. I don't really love working in groups. Not that working in this group was bad or anything, but yeah.

Daily dose of drama.

So last night my hands were kinda red-ish and had that strange numb feeling to them. You know when you just get inside from a super cold day and you foolishly go to the sink and rinse your hands under hot water? Kinda like that expect for not as painful. That's about the only thing I can compare the feeling too. So as I continued on with my life, I was itching a lot and soon saw a cluster of mosquito-looking things on my left elbow. Not fun.
My mom thought I was bit by something, so I took it kinda...dramatically.
So today when I woke up, I had the same pain in my hands. So I did my schoolwork and then went up to practice trumpet. I couldn't handle practicing with the itch so I started praying.
A few hours later more and more started to show up, mostly on my feet. Freaking out, I quickly called my mom, who was in a lunch meeting.
Inhaling, I contacted my dad and he suggested that it may be measles. So I went to google exactly what measles were, and discovered a few syntoms that I had. Coughing and runny nose.
But after several phone calls to my dad later, I realized that they usually are red and brown before they go away. These bumps were pretty much skin colored, maybe just a slight shade of red.
Remembering that a few nights ago I had a mango smoothie, I quickly called my friend Kayla, who is also allergic to mango's.
After asking her what exactly happened to her when she ate mango's. Her mom knows about healing and stuff so I was talking to her.
We started to talk, trying to figure out the root problem to this, which was fear.
Though I couldn't exactly pin point exactly what I was afraid of (the bumps, mostly) she read the bible verse, 1st Timothy 1:5. She said to pray about it, clamming healing over my body. (Which I did before, many times).
So after hanging up I started to pray again and soon enough, the bumps started to reduce ever so slightly. As I type, they have gone down greatly, and the urge to itch isn't so urgent. I can handle not reaching down and scratching them now.
Weather you have a fever, cancer or even an allergic reaction like I did, if you just pray and believe that G-d has the power to heal, it will happen. Honestly.
~**~

This entry today wasn't really on fashion (lol) so I guess I will put in a little style.
This is an awesome example of how yellow can be used on garments. I love how the yellow was used in this outfit. Defiantly more than a pop- more like a splash. But used ever so stylishly. And by paring it with black and white, it doesn't seem so crazy and cluttered.
