girls are mean.

I miss my cousin so much!! Last year at this time, we were standing on the space needle in Seattle.
Then we watched fireworks on TV later that night.

Well, welcome in 2010.

And what better way to welcome in 2010 then with new, cute hair?
I have a folder in my pictures where I keep photos of cute haircuts.

So, I'll open it up and show you what's inside:

(I don't own any of these photos, nor remember where I got most of them. They are mostly from google images)

101 dalmatians

Wow...2010 is almost here. 2 days!!
2 DAYS?!
oh my word....where does time go?
haha.
Well, I guess it's time for me to think up that new year resolution. (Last years resolution was not to have one).
I could try to me more stylish or chic....I could try to make more friends....I could minister more to my friends....or I could do what G-d wants me to do.
I like the last two.

You see, each year for the past 2 year's I keep a little handmade notebook that records dramatic/important events of the year.

I recommend starting one, it is really great to look back and see the past events.
But I also highly, highly, highly recommend keeping a journal. I know it can be difficult to swing into a routine, but trust me, you will be thankful you have it.

I write in my journal every night, usually filling up a 250 page every three months. (Ok, I'll admit, last night I didn't write).

For me, writing is easy. I love making my characters suffer from dramatic events of my novels. But that's besides the point.

Lets say, each night for 3 weeks you write for 10 minutes.
That's 21 days of writing.
Think you can do it? I know you can.
I mean, think about it. A place all your own, for your eyes only. A place where you can write anything you want. Anything.
A place to scribble violently when your angry. A place to fall in love. A place to pray. A place that is totally and completely, you.

Ok...so that really has nothing to do with fashion, but I did say that this blog has evolved more into my life and fashion, right?

Now, onto fashion.
I LOVE THE PRE-FALL 2010 DVF COLLECTION!!!!!!!!!!!

ANY HUMAN COULD TAKE AN OUTFIT OFF THE RUNWAY AND PUT IT ON THEIR BODY, WEAR IT AROUND TOWN AND LOOK COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY STYLISH.
Not weird- stylish.

100th post!!!

woooo. :P

So on Sunday I went shopping with some of the money I got over the holidays.

It felt so strange to pick something up and know I could just like, buy it.
It got lots of stuff. I upgraded my jewelry and bought numerous amounts of tops, 2 pairs of jeans and a pair of REAL suede flat boots.

The most amazing thing was the boots.
They were 50% off, making them $47.00. The fake suede ones at payless are $44.00. And there fake.

So, if your looking for fabulous boots, check out Cathy Jean.

When we were in stores I noticed LOTS of ballerina-type things. Lots of duty pink and grey colors, tulle, embellishments on shirts and cardigans.
Sort of like the Charlotte Ronson Spring 2010 show.

I also noticed lots of nautical things. Such as necklaces with anchors on them.

Which is odd because for fashion class back in the summer I designed a line that was U.S. Navy-inspired. They must have gotten inspiration from my line. *sniff sniff* haha kj.

OK I'M GOING TO GO OFF TOPIC NOW:

I have been loving the color combo yellow and white and green and white.
I know its random, but I thought I'd just let you know.

I love my dog.
GOD is awesome.

1 Corinthians 13:-7:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Meh doggg:

Now, I want to hear from you (whoever you are), what is YOUR style?

Sometimes I feel like I'm typing into some vortex that disappears into page 781 of google search 'fashion blogs'.
Are you out there? anyone?

the launch of brilliance

Yesterday Amina and Safia and I went thrifting...trying to find vintage peaces that we could re-create for our line.
The problem is, we get sidetracked very easily.
So while we went in, hoping to find a great peaces that we could take from ugly to ultra-glam, we came out with a Liz Claiborne blazer (AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
They are amazing, but now were planning on working on our line today and we will mostly be sketching...not sewing.
So the mission remains un-accomplished. For now.

Great Lip Gloss Colors For Winter

Treat your lips right this season!
Winter means dry skin and chapped lips.
Don't let the harsh weather ruin flaunting your style!!This winter, ultra-glossy, luster lips are in.

Colors like fuchsia, nudes, sheer, baby pink, plum and magenta are just a few of the hot colors.

Need help picking the right gloss color for you skin type?

I have you covered:

PAIL SKIN:
Sheer, baby pinks. Even a great sheer mauve color will look fabulous.
Our favorite is Co.Bigelow in Pink Mint. It's a great, sheer mauve. You can get it at Bath and Body Works for about $5 dollars.

FAIR SKIN:
For winter go with a color that's slightly darker then your natural lip color. Get a pink with a purplish undertone, but not plum or anything.
We like Organic Wear in Super Pink. You can get it at Walmart for about $5-7. Or Amazon.com for $4.29.

MEDIUM/OLIVE SKIN:
Go for a nude, ultra-glossy gloss. Don't want to be nude? raisin color or sheer magenta will look excellent with your skin.

DARK SKIN:
berries and pinks always look great on you. Nude and golden honey's will enhance your skin tone.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE LIP GLOSS BRANDS:
Co.Bigelow, Organic Wear, Victorias Secret Beauty Rush, Neutrogena MoistureShine.
